Goal:  Outline solutions to challenges and threats against our way of life.

Intiphany is an informal institute of defense thinking dedicated to advocacy of strategic policy. If we've done our job, the solutions will appear obvious to many. The few who may disagree have had their way for many decades. We primarily respond to cases where the status-quo itself presents a threat. Example: Standing-by while Iran develops nuclear weapons. With little doubt, pursuing the status-quo could end the U.S way of life.

Priority is given to challenges high on the threat list.

Power is a funny thing. Persons given power become slaves (or at least indentured servants) to convention. Normally this is a good thing, it protects the ship of state from lurching in risky directions. Our goal is to present straightforward, modest to low-risk, yet novel solutions when we see the ship of state heading toward new-threats. Example: The containment policy worked well with communism, but may have little success against radical muslim nuclear proliferation. The country needs a new strategy and we outline one.
